LLDTEK vs Rosie AI answering service

Rosie answers calls cheaply and books into Google Calendar or Calendly, while LLDTEK works beside the booking system you already run.

A black rotary telephone and an open handwritten letter on a dark desk by a window, rain falling over rooftops and a distant mountain

Rosie is a self-serve AI answering service with published plans from $49 a month for 250 minutes. It books on your calendar from the $149 Scale plan, into Google Calendar, Calendly, Acuity or Appointlet. LLDTEK suits an appointment business that wants agents set up for it, working beside the booking system or POS it already runs.

LLDTEK wrote this comparison. We sell AI agents for appointment businesses, so read it with that in mind. Every Rosie claim below links to Rosie's own pricing page, homepage or help center, and the one rating we quote links to its app store listing, all checked on 2026-10-26. Rosie can change its plans at any time, so open the links before you decide.

What is Rosie?

Rosie describes itself as "the easiest AI answering service for small business" and says it is "trained on your business and works 24/7" (heyrosie.com, checked 2026-10-26). Setup starts with your website or Google Business Profile. Rosie says it is "trained from your Google profile and website in minutes", then you review the details, add FAQs and a greeting, and place test calls.

Its industry list runs from locksmiths and roofers to dentists, law firms and salons (Rosie industries, checked 2026-10-26). That breadth helps a general small-business line and matters less when most calls are about which stylist is free on Saturday.

What every Rosie plan includes

All three plans include round-the-clock answering, simultaneous calls, custom FAQ answers, more than ten voices, English and Spanish on every call, summaries, transcripts and recordings, mobile apps, and a Zapier integration to "connect to 1,000+ apps." Website chat is free (heyrosie.com/pricing, checked 2026-10-26).

How a Rosie AI receptionist books

This is where the plans split. On Professional, Rosie sends "appointment links" by text, so the caller finishes the booking themselves. Booking "directly on your calendar" starts on Scale (heyrosie.com/pricing, checked 2026-10-26).

Rosie's help center names four scheduling integrations: Google Calendar, Calendly, Acuity Scheduling and Appointlet. Its integrations article says Rosie "will find an available time, confirm it with the caller, and create the event automatically in your calendar" (Scheduling Integrations, checked 2026-10-26). The articles we read did not name Square, Vagaro, Booksy, Fresha or Mindbody. Rosie's salon page says it makes sure "the appointment link sent is for booking with the right professional" (Rosie for salons, checked 2026-10-26), which describes the link route rather than direct booking.

How Rosie hands off to a person

Rosie offers three kinds of transfer. A cold transfer "hands the call straight over without checking whether anyone is there." A warm transfer "puts the caller on hold while Rosie calls your number, explains who's holding, and asks whether you can take it." A waterfall transfer runs a warm transfer "down a list of numbers until someone picks up." The same article says "Transfers are available on the Scale or Growth plan. Waterfall transfers require Growth" (Call Transfers, checked 2026-10-26). On Professional, Rosie takes messages through custom scenarios instead.

What does Rosie AI cost?

Rosie publishes its prices, which deserves credit.

Two details matter more than the headline price. First, for a business that runs on appointments, the real entry point is Scale at $149, because that is the cheapest plan that writes the visit into a calendar. Second, the pricing page asks "What happens if I go over my minutes?" in its FAQ, but the answer did not load in the version we checked. Ask Rosie what a minute past 250 or 1,000 costs, and keep the reply on file. Our AI receptionist cost guide compares how Rosie's per-minute bundles stack up against per-call and per-location billing from other vendors.

What do Rosie AI reviews say?

Public reviews of Rosie are thin, so we will only report what we could see.

Rosie's homepage carries short testimonials from named customers. Dan Mallatt of Franklynn Auto says "Rosie is so easy to set up and it fixed our phone issues overnight." Francisco Fierro, owner of Iron Volt Electric, says "It just runs in the background without us having to think about it." Amanda of Newport Ave Landscaping says "It's super helpful when I'm not able to answer the phone" (heyrosie.com, checked 2026-10-26). These are quotes Rosie chose to publish, so read them as marketing. None of the homepage testimonials we saw came from a salon, spa or clinic, and the two on Rosie's salon page come from an event space and a transportation company.

On the Shopify App Store, the listing "Rosie: AI Phone Support Agent", which links to heyrosie.com, shows a 5.0 rating from 4 reviews (Shopify App Store, checked 2026-10-26). That listing is for an e-commerce support use, and four reviews is a small sample.

Rosie has a listing on Capterra, but we could not load it when we checked, so we do not quote a rating from it. Read the newest reviews on any directory yourself before you buy, and weigh reviews from businesses that book appointments over the rest.

The better test is your own. Forward your line to Rosie during its 7-day trial over a busy weekend and listen to the recordings.

What is LLDTEK?

Where Rosie covers any small business with a phone, LLDTEK covers one kind: the business that sells time in appointments. Five agents split the work. One answers the front desk, one chases no-shows, one books the next visit, one asks for reviews and one watches the live floor. A caller who starts on the phone and replies by text or web chat stays in the same conversation. The agents read and write the book your staff already use, whether it sits in Vagaro, Square, Booksy, Zenoti, Mindbody, OpenTable or another system. Your calendar, your till and your front desk person all stay.

Setup is our job, not yours. Nobody on your team drafts a prompt or builds a call flow. We learn how your desk handles a booking, link the agents to your book, put test calls through it, and sit through a live day with you before the first invoice. The agents reply in whatever language the caller opened with. When a request needs a person, such as a VIP, a dispute or something off the menu, they stop and pass the whole conversation to your staff.

There is no public LLDTEK price list. You get a number after a thirty-minute demo, once we have seen your opening hours, the languages your callers use, how many calls you get and which of them belong with a person. That half hour comes before any price, and it is a fair point against us when Rosie shows its plans up front and lets you try them free for a week.

Where does the difference show up?

It shows up in which calendar the booking lands in. The studio below is invented for illustration: we pieced it together from typical small floors, and it is not an LLDTEK client. Three nail technicians and one lash artist share a small floor, and every appointment, deposit and client note lives in Square Appointments. A full set takes ninety minutes. A lash fill takes forty-five, and only the lash artist does it.

On Rosie Professional, a caller at 8pm asks for a lash fill on Saturday. Rosie answers, then texts the studio's Square booking link. If the caller taps it and books, the studio is fine. If she means to do it later and forgets, the evening call ends as a link nobody opened.

On Rosie Scale, Rosie can book directly, but into Google Calendar, Calendly, Acuity or Appointlet. The studio's real book is Square. Unless someone keeps a second calendar in step with Square, the studio now runs two books, and Saturday at 11 can be sold twice. Rosie's Zapier integration might bridge the gap. Ask whether that zap can write a real appointment into Square with the right technician and the right service length, then watch it handle a cancellation.

We make the same argument in Do you need a new POS for an AI receptionist?: book into the calendar your staff check out in.

If your business already books in Google Calendar, Calendly or Acuity, none of this applies. Rosie Scale writes straight into the real thing, and the comparison tilts toward Rosie on price and speed.

Choose Rosie if…

You want an answering service running tonight. Rosie trains from your website and Google profile in minutes, and you can test it for seven days before you pay.

Your book already lives in Google Calendar, Calendly, Acuity or Appointlet. Then Scale at $149 books straight into the calendar you use, and there is no second book to keep in step.

You mostly need calls answered and messages taken. If a caller can finish a booking from a texted link, Professional at $49 is among the cheapest plans in our guide to the best answering service, which sets Rosie beside Dialzara, Goodcall, Smith.ai and Ruby.

Your callers speak English and Spanish, which every plan includes, or you run a trade or office business rather than a chair-based floor. Rosie's industry pages and testimonials lean that way.

You want to see the price first. Rosie publishes it, and we do not.

Choose LLDTEK if…

Your appointments live in Vagaro, Square, Booksy, Zenoti, Mindbody or another system you are not leaving, and you want the booking to land in that book rather than a copy of it.

The leak is wider than the phone. A cancelled slot that stays empty, a client who leaves without a next visit and a review nobody asked for are jobs Rosie does not describe on its pricing page, and they are the jobs our recovery, rebooking and reviews agents do.

Your callers use more than English and Spanish, and you want the booking and the follow-up in the language the client chose.

Nobody on your team wants to configure scenarios, zaps or transfer lists. We set up the agents with you and watch a live day before billing.

You would rather hear "you don't need us" early than late. If your desk already picks up every call and nothing slips, that is what we will say on the demo.

Questions

Questions operators ask

It can be, if the salon books in Google Calendar, Calendly or Acuity, or if a texted link is enough. Rosie's salon page focuses on sending a link for "the right professional." If your book is Square, Vagaro or Booksy, test whether Rosie can write into it before you rely on direct booking. Our demo checklist lists the calls to try.
