An AI receptionist for restaurants on Resy

Resy keeps your book, floor plan, guest notes, waitlist and Notify list. LLDTEK answers the phone, texts to the restaurant's number and web chat while the host is seating the room, and offers the times your Resy book shows open, points guests to Resy or hands off each request by the rules your managers set with us.

Woodblock-style small restaurant on a rainy night: most counter seats are taken while a cook works the grill, a black rotary telephone rings on the unattended host stand beside an open reservation ledger, and outside two guests under an umbrella, seen from behind, read a message slip as a glowing thread runs from the phone to the slip and on to an empty stool at the counter

Live run

Hi! Any chance of a table for 4 tonight around 8?

availability · tonight · party of 4 · 5:30, 9:15 open

We're booked solid around 8 for four. The closest tables are an early 5:30 or a late 9:15.

9:15 is too late for us. Can we get on a list?

Here's our Resy page. Tap Notify for tonight between 7 and 8:30 and Resy will alert you if a table opens.

Short answer

Yes.

Does LLDTEK work with Resy?

Yes. LLDTEK works beside Resy. Reservations, the waitlist, Notify, guest profiles, card holds and deposits stay in Resy. LLDTEK's agents answer calls, texts and web chat, offer the times your Resy book shows open for that party size, answer questions about the menu, hours and parking from details you approve, and pass large parties, events and complaints to a manager.

Who does what

Resy keeps the book. The agents take the line.

Stays in Resy

  • As of October 2026, Resy's pricing page lists four plans: Platform at $289 a month and Platform 360 at $459, plus Essential at $289 and Premium at $459, which run on Tock. All four include reservations, table management, walk-in waitlists, events, credit card holds and cancellation fees, and POS integrations.
  • Deposits and prepayment on Essential and Premium only, with a 3% fee on prepayments on Essential and 2% on Premium, plus standard card processing. Customisable guest communications come with every plan except Platform, and on-demand phone support for live partners on Premium only.
  • Automatic waitlist texts in ResyOS, the system behind Platform and Platform 360. When the host adds a party, Resy texts the quoted wait; changing the quote sends an update; and setting the party to Table Ready sends a text that says the table is held for 10 minutes and asks the guest to reply 1 to confirm or 9 to drop off the list. Guest replies show in the Messages tab of the reservation panel.
  • A remote waitlist in ResyOS that guests join from the Resy app. They land on your list as On the way, beside walk-ins, and the host can switch it off or snooze it for 30, 60 or 90 minutes at peak times.
  • Notify, which Resy's ResyOS help center describes as a future waitlist. Guests set it on Resy.com or in the app for a date and time range, staff can add someone from the ResyOS dashboard with an email address, and alerts go out by email or app push when a table opens. Eligible American Express Card Members with Global Dining Access get Priority Notify and hear first. On the Tock-based plans, Resy's grid lists Notify as Basic on Essential and Priority on Premium.
  • Integrations with POS systems including Toast, Square, Lightspeed and Micros, Tripleseat for events, and discovery and booking channels including Reserve with Google, the MICHELIN Guide, The Infatuation, OpenAI and Anthropic.

The caller who wants a night you're full

Notify only works for a guest who sets it on Resy or gives your staff an email address, and its alerts arrive by email or app push, not on the call. When a caller asks for Saturday at 8 and the book is full, the agent offers the nearest open times. If none suit, it texts the link to your Resy page so they can set Notify, or takes their name and email for the host to add, whichever your managers prefer.

Texts that aren't a 1 or a 9

Resy's waitlist texts expect a 1 or a 9. Any other reply lands in the Messages tab, flagged with a red bubble for the host to open between tables. Guests also text the restaurant's own number: running late, asking about a high chair, checking whether the kitchen is still open. The agent answers those on that number from what you've approved, and tells the host about anything that changes a table. Resy can text waitlist parties itself, and so can the recovery agent when a table opens or a booking cancels. How it learns about openings in Resy, and which list it texts, is set up with you on the demo, along with which texts each side sends, so guests never get two.

Questions the book can't answer

Is the bar first come, first served? Can the tasting menu be made pescatarian if we ask a day ahead? Is there a corkage fee for a magnum? Can we bring a cake? Each answer comes from notes your managers have signed off. If a guest asks about an allergen the kitchen hasn't documented, a manager gets the question instead of a guess.

Large parties and buyouts

Resy lists Tripleseat among its POS and event integrations. If your events lead quotes buyouts there, that's where the enquiry goes. When a buyout or a table of fourteen comes in by phone or chat, the agent takes down what your events lead needs to quote it and hands the conversation over. Deposits and prepayment are Resy tools on Essential and Premium, and card holds are on every plan; your team decides which applies and takes it.

Rules written with your managers

Resy lets you switch the remote waitlist off or snooze it at peak times, and each choice changes what a caller should hear. Our team works through those choices with your general manager: whether to send a caller to Notify or take their email, what to say while the remote waitlist is snoozed, which party sizes go to a person rather than being offered a time, and which regulars always reach a manager. We then review the first week's transcripts together and adjust the wording.

A day on the floor

What it looks like with Resy.

An example Saturday at a 54-seat small-plates restaurant on Resy Platform 360 (composite, not a named customer)

  1. STEP 01

11:40 am. A caller wants tonight at 8 for four. The book is full until 9:15. The agent offers 5:30 or 9:15; the caller says neither works, so it texts the link to the restaurant's Resy page to set Notify.

  2. STEP 02

3:15 pm. Someone on the website chat wants to know if the counter is walk-in. The agent says the counter is held for walk-ins from 5:00, the remote waitlist opens when the doors do, and explains how to join it from the Resy app.

  3. STEP 03

6:50 pm. With the room full, the host snoozes the remote waitlist for an hour and tells the agent it reopens around 7:50. A couple rings to ask about walking in; the agent passes that on and adds that the bar seats are first come, as the managers wrote it.

  4. STEP 04

7:35 pm. A text to the restaurant's number asks whether a four at 7:45 can bring a toddler and needs a high chair. The agent confirms what the house notes say about high chairs and adds the request to a note for the host.

  5. STEP 05

9:20 pm. Someone phones about the back room for twelve on a December Friday. The agent notes the date, spend and a callback number, and leaves it for the events manager to pick up on Monday.

Setup

Connected and live in days, not a rollout.

Nothing is migrated. Your team keeps checking out in Resy.

  1. 1

    Walk through your Resy settings

During the demo we open your Resy settings with you: which plan you're on, service periods, how tables combine, party-size limits online, whether the remote waitlist and Notify are switched on, and your card hold or deposit rules. The agents' answers and hand-offs are then written to match it.

  2. 2

    Write down the house answers

Opening times, how the bar or counter seats walk-ins, corkage and cake-cutting fees, step-free access, where to park, the dishes the kitchen has written allergen notes for, and anything that must always reach a manager.

  3. 3

    Rehearse a sold-out Saturday

Before launch we play out your fullest night by phone and text: a caller who wants Notify explained, a walk-in asking while the remote waitlist is snoozed, a waitlist guest who texts the restaurant instead of replying 1, a sesame question the kitchen notes don't answer, and a guest disputing a no-show charge.

  4. 4

Go live on the hardest hours

You can start with the afternoon before service and the dinner rush. You see one full live day of conversations before billing starts.

Book a demo
Does LLDTEK replace Resy's waitlist texts?

Not unless you want it to. Resy can send its own waitlist texts, including the 10-minute Table Ready message with 1 or 9 replies, and the recovery agent can text a waitlist party when a table opens or a booking cancels. How it learns about openings in Resy, and which list it texts, is set up with you on the demo, along with which one sends each kind of text, so a guest never gets two about the same table.

Can the agent put a caller on Resy Notify?

Notify is set by the guest on Resy.com or in the Resy app, or by your staff with the guest's email address. The agent can text the caller the link to your Resy page, or take their name and email for the host to add. Notify alerts go by email or app push, and they don't guarantee a table.

How do bookings the agent makes get into Resy?

The agent only offers times your Resy book shows open for that party size. How each booking is recorded in your Resy account, and who confirms it, is set up and checked with you on the demo before anything goes live.

Can it take deposits or prepayment?

No. Deposits and prepayment are Resy features on Essential and Premium, and card holds with cancellation fees are on every plan. The agent explains your policy and passes payment questions to your team.

We run Toast as our POS. Does that change anything?

Resy lists Toast among its POS integrations, and that link between Resy and Toast stays as it is. LLDTEK doesn't take payments or close checks. It answers guests and offers the times your Resy book shows open.

We have more than one restaurant on Resy.

Each venue has its own hours, menu notes, walk-in rules and manager list, and the agent answers for the venue the guest asked about. Conversations for every site can be reviewed together.
